Using online tools to build scenario-based training

GoAnimate.com: Robin's Management Team: Avatar Introduction and Team Meeting by Robin Yap

We’re always looking for new and FREE online tools to use for work as budgets are stagnant thus preventing us from investing in more pricey options. I found GoAnimate and created this funny video above to show my team how easy it is to create scenario-based quick learning nuggets. This site has an easy to use and intuitive avatar control panel (although I keep using my delete key to remove dropped artifacts I don’t want to use on my scene). I like that there’s quite a bit of free avatars to use but you can purchase additional ones if you like. There’s a social network capability which assists in sharing characters, scenes, fx, and other features amongst the various members of the GoAnimate community.

So this is one option that I wanted to share with you. As we build more that are more specific to a training activity, I will post it here as well. This one above was just for fun. Enjoy ~

  • I just added this web site to my google reader, great stuff. Can¡¯t get enough!

  • Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
