Who are you? What are your priorities? How can I help?

Who are you? What are your priorities? How can I help?

These (and an iteration of these) were the three questions a new senior executive asked each of the members of her team on her first meeting with them.

It zeroes in on your value-add to the company elevator speech. Identifies your alignment with corporate goals. Provides you with an opportunity to discuss your needs to support your own team.

Was the question to the point? Was it helpful? Is it a bit brash? Could you do better? What’s a better way to say these three questions?

Post your modified version of these questions in the comments below if you were the senior executive trying to create a safe working environment for collaborative conversations.
