Robin Yap, LLB, MSc Ed, DM, CTDP is a Toronto-based social learning strategist, L&D executive coach and consultant specializing in developing and implementing Technology-to-Training Integration Strategies and Programs, Training Department Staff (Instructors, Instructional Designers, Training Manager) Standards of Practice and Competency Modeling, Social Learning Modeling, Next Generation Human Capital Development, and Certification Programs.
Robin’s 20-year career includes working with Global Fortune 500 companies including Accenture Learning, Sun Microsystems, JDEdwards/PeopleSoft/Oracle, MCI Telecommunications, Canadian companies Rogers, Automatic Data Processing, Marsh McClennan, TD Bank Financial Group and German company Worldhotels. He also has lectured at Oxford Brookes [UK], New York University Stern, Columbia University Teacher’s College [USA], Universidad de Catalunya [Spain], St. Anthony School System [Philippines], Kumamoto University [Japan], among others.
Believing in the scholar-practice model, Robin authors and speaks at international conferences in the areas of technology-to-training integration, adult learning, leadership development, and training department strategies specifically quality, standards, certification, and competency models. He is also an adjunct professor at George Brown College teaching face-to-face and online classes with class titles as follows: “Consulting Skills for Learning Professionals,” “Blended Learning,” and “Social Learning in Virtual Spaces.”
Robin coaches and consults internationally on developing blended learning courseware, programmes and strategies, training department standards, and training staff certification and competency models.
